View Full Version : The only dolphins worth catchin this weekend

Left to play racquetball at 7:00 am Saturday, headin home a little after 9:00 I call my wife.. no answer, cell no answer.. hmmm must have forgotten that she had someplace to go.. call 10 min later, she answers.. said she was in the shower. I asked her what the plan was for today... nothing really. ok, be home in a few.. thinkin to myself.. nice day, but she probably won't want to take the boat out, maybe we'll wash the cars or somthing to get some sun (she works too many hours). Pulled up in the driveway..... The cover was off the boat! Everything was already loaded in.. poles, tackle, cooler, electronics, bait... ready to go! I couldn't believe it! How lucky am I... I'm not worthy! She said "I want to get a dolphin, if we get another kingfish we are letting it go! Fishing report said spotty dolphin 5 to 7 out (about the edge of the Gulfstream). Ran out to 7.5 miles, stopped, was still letting out 1st bait on the outrigger..away it went.. nice 12 lb cow, there were several swimming with her when I got her close to the boat but couldn't get them to bite. trolled for another hr or so but they had left. I'm rambling but what a nice surprise. *A beautiful day.. no other boats around.. we could've gotten nekid up on the bow... not that we did that.... ::) *;D Got home by 2:00 pm and fired up the blender and the (not hot) tub.. now that's what I'm talkin about... certainly not football... :'(

Great report you are a lucky man!! So, if I may ask, why didn't you get nekid on the bow? ;D

Well, Slot, I just sat down and started readin' this awsome thread and thinkin' the same thing...Blue Runner, still quite the dawg...has been OUT-DAWGED for sure!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ... wife removes boat-cover and readies the "V" and requests (demands) fresh dolphin...yup, thats a D-A-DUBYA-G OF A HIGHER DEGREE!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ...

He11 I second it too!! D-O-double G!! What does a man have to do? I thought I was lucky cause she backs the boat in the water and pulls it out....but this takes it to a new level! I'm so jealous!

Well she (does) did that too! Darn, readin my own posts... I know I'm not worthy! I hope some one doesn't come along and STEAL her. Sometimes I wonder what she sees in this crabby old butt head!
