i'm not picky. rubber cocahoes are the standard round here. i mostly fish live baits but when pickens are slim i switch to lures so i can cover more water and find fish quicker. also use them to avoid terd hustlers. my method for choosing a lure is a lot like cheating. i go to academy and walmart and look at the lures. whatever they are sold out of or have the least of must be what peeps been catching them on. i go with that. i must admit, i have become pretty fond of berkley gulps. since the storm it been hard to come across live bait. lots of debris in the water. the gulps seem to work perty good.

CB, I am sorry to hear that some shmuck pinched your gear [and nothing but best wishes on your health related issues]. Your plugs look nearly identical to what I use, maybe a few less metal lips. Are all those plugs wood?
chumbucket

My favorite was a Canary yellow windcheater 6 inch 1.7/8 oz Rebel. #8603/ If any body sees one of these in store. buy it and i will send check to cover cost and shipping. Orange belly was great to. Both are discontinued. I will take all that is out there. They are hot for the strippers down in the bay off the rocks

Guess what I found today at Ocean's East2. They found unopened box in back room with 12 windcheaters . Just the ones I was looking for. Just dropped by to see what they had new. Going for supplies for the restaurant. There is a Lure god. Bought them all.

Squid, Mackerel, llive Scup or Porgies for you gentlemen south of us. Eels, Pogies, and Herring
As you see, I am a bait guy!! But I like poppers when there is topwater action.
I hope that makes a bit more sense to everyone. Say windtalker; you know the new Firefox has a spell checker. Don't you? ::)
btw; in case some of you are wondering, there is a difference up here between Porgies (or Scup as we call them) and Pogies (as we call them, which are menhaden)
;D Carry on. ;D
