I know this has happened to many people but today my dad was looking at the bow of my V20 and when he stood up he forgot about the extreme bow flare and hit his head right on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OUCH, he didn't hurt the gelcoat did he. ;D
Tell him he may not like that flare now but when riding in the V in rough water it will do a great job of keeping him dry.

I've been out with rough water and wind also. It was great to see the water shooting a way from the boat but then the wind picked it up and blew it back on us. I got soaked with 49 deg water and air temp at 38. BURRRRRRRRRR ;D

talk about aches.....wait until you go to wax that flared bow....you'll be upside down inverted backwards stretching straining lefty righty.....unless you're very short, it's not fun. However the end result is well worth the effort.

Yepper, washin and waxin that fine flare is a chore, but like said above, the results are worth it.

Flare noggin poppin is part of the territory, suck it up. You want to talk about PAIN well you have not had boat pain till you have launched or retrieved your boat on the trailer and experienced PULPIT POUNDING
Yea by time you are rising and remember the Danforth sitting two feet past the bow point it is too late, gotcha :-/
And in deference to the sensitivty of the subject we will not even discuss the dreaded Norton Snaggers :'(
