That was off our dock. Visibility is down to less than 1/2 mile and we're at least 100 miles away from any fires.
The smell of burning pine bark and straw is very obvious.
This compares nothing to Lumbers problems and others involved with the fires.
Vacationing in central Florida we have watched seaplanes and helicopters scoop up water from the St. Johns river below Lake George when they would have fires. I haven't been following all the fires to see how they are fighting them.
Yall be safe.

Off yer dock, huh?...soon as the smoke clears, you're qualified for "Dawg of the Month"!! ;) ;D ;D ...

TS where is that dock, looks like Egg Harbor area, sod banks for bass time ;D

tsubaki
05-17-2007, 03:40 PM
Well it's a family "community" dock. At least I'm in the family and we do have a boat ramp also. ;D

tsubaki
05-17-2007, 03:42 PM
Boat ramps 150ft from my driveway and the dock another 150ft past the ramp. ;D

Sweet! What a nice set-up!

tsubaki
05-17-2007, 06:30 PM
The "community" consists of 10 houses which now 4 contribute to maintance and repairs. Most of the covinents are "gentlemans agreements". In other words NO WORK NO PLAY. At least 8 of the lots in this subdivision have belonged to my family since it's origination in the "50's, now reduced to me, my dad and my cousin.
