Hey everybody!
I've got a 1983 V-20 Steplift and the doors to the bow have just fell apart! Also, the door to the battery compartment is in bad shape too. Any ideas on how to replace these without spending a fortune? I thought of soild teak boards but MAN!! are they expensive. Thanks for any input.

Keller, are you talking about the folding doors to the cuddy? *Then yes, definitely starboard would be the least costly way to go. *As far as the hatch, I found a great replacement a few years ago, a very close fit to the original (just a little larger) that worked fine. *I got it at West Marine or Boater's World, I forget which.
And welcome to v20.com! *;D

Welcome to the site, Kid
I had canvas covers made for the front hatch and the rear battery access door. you can take them off and have full access into the area's and yes your right i cant lock them but if someone wants in bad enough they will get in and cause more damage... Just dont leave anything in the front hatch during storage. The bi-fold door up front really cuts down on the width opening and i am XXl and the extra room to get up front and have access to the batteries works for me. Just have enough snaps put on to hold it while under power. 5 snaps each side and 2 snaps each top and bottom . Zero maitenance on the canvas unlike teak... My guy charged me $25 for each piece...

Welcome to the site.
Most any marine supply and internet, however the shipping will eat you alive.
Post where you are located and some of the guys on the site might know a place near you.
Another option is to use cutting board material (Sams, Wal-mart, etc), personally I like the idea of canvas.

Hey Zebra, do you have a side shot of your dash? Did you have to make any modifications to the sides to get your dash to sit at that angle?
Looks nice, I likeitalot... ;)

If you're in a decent size town/city, look in the YellowPages under Plastic Supplies...if not you may have to order and pay shippin'...

If I would have read the first post.
River Services on River Drive in Thunderbolt carries supplies other "boat places" won't. They keep in stock various sizes of Starboard. They sell in 1/2 and whole sheets,54x48 & 54x96. Call before going to be sure it's in stock, they keep small amounts in stock.

I really appreciate all the help. This is a great forum for a great boat. That old Wellcraft has been part of my family since 1985 when my Dad and I went in partners to buy it.
