Hello Everybody,
I thought I might be able to find out some info from you guys on my wellcraft v 20 steplift. I am a commercial salmon fisherman on the north coast of California,
It seems most of these little boats are inland ,,, I dont see many on the coast here,,,
what do you guys figure the maximum load is,,, grant it sea conditions mean everything,,,,
I have an external altenator kit on the boat and aluminum house,,,Merc 470,,, also outriggers etc,,, gurdies,, hydraulic pump,,,, I have got rid of all the little extras to lighten up my boat,,, I figure I have 500 - 700 lbs in the boat after the factory built it,, I never fish with more than 2 people,,,, counting myself,,,,
what do you figure the hull payload is?
someone must know?
thanks,
Mike

My boat is a 1975, was I/O 165, Now converted to OB 175 hp with bracket.
I have had up to 700 pounds of fish with 3 guys over 250 a piece, thats 1400 pounds plus gear! Just make head way slow and easy she will get you there no problem!!
Just keep boat level, I have 2 floor tanks down the center that will hold 100 #+ fish depending on what kind of fish I have caught.
Also the front step down works as a nice fish box when needed also! One guy each side and third sits center or off to one side depending were you need him to stay stright.
Pic's we want pic's!

I forgot about ice add another 200# for that!!
I think you can get 2000 in it, I think the plate says 1500 or so? I forgot, but mine is unread able also.
you will get 2000 ok I am sure, I have to 20 gal saddle bags and a 25 in the old motor well for total 65, I am sure you have more then that.

That 2125 lbs looks INCLUSIVE of the motor's weight...minus 400 for motor=1725...minus 450 for two guys=1275...minus 200 for gear n' beer=1075...minus 500lbs for fuel=575 ...optional third person and the alum. house it starts gettin' kinda thin :-/ ...
