Back when I had a 17' Thunderbird and lookin' for somethin' a lil' bigger, I ran across an 18' cuddy...was on POS trailer and woulda been LOTTA work, but my plan was to take 140 Rude off the T'bird and use it on this 18' Wellcraft...I've never seen one since...how many of those around??... 8) ...

As a matter of fact, I have a 18" Cuddy she's a 67' and in the middle of much needed repairs. I'll put some pics up asap. The pics will probably be included with questions about replacing stringers and restoring original equipment since the butcher I purchased her from redid the boat.

yes, I was a lurker! Lee Wangstand hipped me to you guys when I turned to him for help on restoring my boat. Here's a little background for ya. Born and raised in PG County Maryland spending every free minute on the bay and ocean. If I wasn't working or in school then I was off Sandy point or in Ocean City. Found myself moving to Georgia and miss the stripers and blues so, I bought a boat. Dropped a grand and the next day found it had a bad tittle and the tag for the trailer was stolen. Got all that straight and wanted to fix a soft spot in the floor. Did I mention I stepped right through to the hull. Any how, Started pulling up plywood and found empty stringer glass with saw dust in the bottum. Now I know most would cut and run but not me. I need a project. So, when I get off duty in the am, I'm headed home to post pics and begin restoring my boat. She's a 1967 wellcraft cuddy. Wellcraft was only able to tell me it was a Triumph v18 and send me a bad fax with a blurry pic. I've been looking for another like her to have a basis to restore her by In this I have had little luck and after talking to Lee decided to use the v20 for my basis.
This said, it's going to be a labor of love. Stringers are gone floor is rotted they relocated the full tank and took out the rod boxes. just too mention a few.
Ok, Gotta get back to work but more to follow soon.
Thanks for the warm welcomes, maybe this July while I'm up home I'll bump into a few of you guys

LOL right now it has a 84 Johnson 90 a little under powered but hey, it came with the boat. South Georgia huh? My ex was from Ga and convinced me several years ago that moving home to be close to her parents would help our relationship. Little did I know Ga is the quickie divorce state and faster then you could say snookered, I was divorced. Stayed because she got custody of our daughters and I've turned down three offers for work in OC and Rehobath. I'd miss taking the kids out on the water and teaching them all about it like my dad did. By the way, where in South Georgia? I'm in Brunswick now.

gee it all suddenly makes sense now! your right, this thread is nothing w/o pics they help alot.
Ever get down to The Dogfish Head? My last visit home I was talked into trying the 51 different flavors of vodka only to be lead a rye by the fact they make their own rum and beer also. Had to try those. Not that it takes a lot of arm twisting for a 240 lbs Scotch/Irish guy to drink.

P.G. County Maryland born and raised. I was considering going to work in Ocean City and since my family has a place in Rehobath, I thought I'd apply there as well. Decided to stay in Georgia, couldn't imagine moving home w/o taking the kids with me and my ex wouldn't here of it.
