I have never seen a Hummingbird I like!! Thats all I know!

You can't go wrong with Garmin!! But I like separate units.

I'm pretty well in agreement with MJ here. I'm not overly impressed with HUMMINBIRDS machines in any water depth to speak of. I have a combo unit and wasn't impressed with it at all. But GARMIN has really impressed me with there quality, ease of use, and willingness to back there products up.

I thought that would be the case. I've narrowed it down then to Garmin and lowrance. Now just a matter of most bang for my buck.
Thanks guys.

Humminbird has everything under the sun, side view, dual transducer, weather alert, spit screen, temperature, speed, time and date, everything any GPS can do,besides the complete sonar customizes to suit you.
I have one of the first Matrix that came out in B&W with no map, it has everything above except the side view.
A lot of people turn their noses up at them but 7 boats between me and my father have not had any problems with them, even at 30 mph reading.
