I am departing Thursday for two days of fishing in Costa Rica . This will be my 5th trip in as many years . I go down with 4 other guys and fish for sailfish . This year about 1/2 the group wants to bag a day of offshore fishing and try the rooster and snapper fishing inshore . We are in the Los Suenos area . Does anyone have any experence inshore fishing that area ?

I dont personally but a buddy of mine went last year. absolute WORLD CLASS fishery they have there. "Offshore" down there may only be 5 miles out...maybe even less. You should kill the roosters too. From what Ive seen those things fight like crazy!! Like a fancy looking amberjack. Good luck and have fun!! Should be the trip of a lifetime, it was for him and he an avid angler. ;)

IF you get up to San Jose go to the Blue Marlin Bar inside the Hotel Del Rey for some outstanding snookie fishing....Frank

Lets just say that the little fishies of the Blue Marlin Bar are VERY gringo friendly....and always on the bite ..They start biting around 10am and go until around 4 am or so..Usually a very healthy little bait ball of around 80 or so...What a place...Frank
