What are they doing to your engine?

What could possibly go wrong with a new unit to require
pulling it apart like that?

Had to be a factory defect and if so, hopefully they correct it.

No E-tec and now no Lumber Slinger ???

Whats up with that?

Whats the deal with the motor Lumber. Sorry to see it torn apart like that. :'(

For those that missed it - a "software" update was not applied to Slingers motor (I suppose by the dealer) and this caused one of the cylinders to run real lean and basically fried it....

Nothing like computers :-X

Hey Lumber, I see you fixed your clearance problme with the rodholders... ;D Little extreme mod there, don't ya think?

For all you guys that forgot, or missed it, Lumber had a thread up last week stating there was a problem and that a new powerhead was on the way from Bomb. Something about a missing software update and being overpropped as I recall. Bet he's out on the water this weekend ;)

To err is human, but to really foul things up, you need a computer. :)

$20 for Delaware Bay Ramp, $8 for ICW ramp around me.

parishht
08-20-2007, 01:40 PM
MULV, is that a private ramp?

Delaware has got public ramps all over the bay,
those are free.
I can name three off the top of my head,
Bowers beach, slaughter beach and Lewes canal,
all three have plenty of free parking.

Anyway, the campground where I keep my trailer
has water access and my ramp is included with my yearly lot rent.

You sure do have IMO the best motor available. Let us know what they found out.

All our ramps are free here. I go out an average of 3 times a week.
