Now I want to throw the trap in (already too far behind on everything else), they look nice and full. I love doing them dirty, fat and all,but that is the most sane way. At least you can sit in the house in the AC and eat them that way.

Lumber,

Looks great. Did you paint the etched portion of your plexiglass doors? They look great in the pics.

I have never seen crabs steamed that way before. But it makes sence the spice would be on the meat and not just on the shell. Also never heard of boiling crabs till one day i went and caught some and my ex-mother-in-law said she would cook them. i gave them to her and walked away. Came back and she had them cooking in a pot full of water. I looked at her and asked " What the hell you doing to my crabs?" she said that's the way she has always cooked them. I prefer steamed.

know it's an old post but i am new here and just reading through them.

STB, have you always lived in Maryland?

What part?

I am very surprised that you didn't know that all seafood
with shells get boiled.

12 minutes from the CBBT, then you are not far from the rest of us
that hang on the Delmarva.
MABHAMMER and I are up in Lewes,
C_Yensen and someone else are in OC,
and a couple of others.

I am guessing that cbbt stands for chesapeake bay bridge tunnel? I am not near that.

Yes, I shouldn't assume,
I should have paid more attention to the county,
Actually, I think the Bay bridge is closer than CBBT.

Only about an hour from Lewes.

No problem. I have been through the tunnel before. my ex lived in Va. Beach. I use to take the kids down in the summer to visit her. That cbbt is really remarkable.
