But the new software has been bought, we will be going with VBulletin as are new board!!
Also I have had it with Omnis who is are server, This place is so slow and sometimes I can't get on!
So I have a friend that is much better then I with this computer stuff, and between me and him we will start the building of the new board!!
Its going to take time, but I hope that by the 1st of the year we will be on a new server with the new software.
You guys have to do nothing, all the work will be done in the background!! We will build the new site on the new server and when its done you will hit your link and all will be different!
So bare with me, better times are a coming!!
Thanks everyone for your patience !!

What about all of the history - will it be wiped away? For example I can search the archive on the word
"report" in the subject line and find all my old fishing reports 8)

Ok we now own all the software and we now ow a ton, and I mean a ton of space on a new server!!n
My friend for 25 years John is going to be are new Webmaster.
I own and run the board. Also will make members and stuff like that, he will be the brain behind the curtin!
He will be doing all the building of the new board teaching me as we go.
He will be taking care of all the big problems that may arise.
He joned the site back in the spring when I first started taking over the board. *But I forgot his screen name *:-/
so we are guessing that we will be set sometime around the first of the year or at least the end of January.
Ok one last thing, we have found out that when you post a link to another site, thread, gallery, ect... ect ... it will not transfer when we move the board all them links will be broken.
So for now if you want to post a link try to save it for a later time to repost when the move is complete!
Thanks guys!

MJ,
A couple of things:
1) You said you bought the software - do you need some help with the expenses associated with the change. I'm too busy to post much, but I really appreciate your work on the site and enjoy jumping on for a little "mental health" break as often as I can.
2) Not to add any pressure now while you're switching over, but I'd like to see some kind of member map if it can be done. Maybe something for some much more computer type guy than me to think about.
Thanks again for taking care of business - Scott

Thanks Scott!!
No funds needed at this time, I had a donation of Tshirts nfrom Ches and I had a sale that payed forthe nnew software, as for nthe monthly bill, its cheap and the Webmaster that is helping me build the site he is a friend for 26 years, and is free ;D
So we are in real good shape!
As for the map, someone started one and then is was forgotten about.
After we have things up and running we willlook into a map again.
Thanks
