Here in the Virginia Beach area the temp. is going to hit the high 50's to low 60's later this week and I'm taking Friday off. Yesterday I pulled back the boat cover and fired up the engine as I'm heading out Friday to catch the last of the stripers before they all head south. They are still biting and with this warmer weather I think we can catch our limit as we have in the past on all but 2 trips. I'll take some pics and try to post my first pics on a site. Anyone else going to take advantage of this warm spell heading our way? Oh, the engine fired on the first crank.

Good idea.

When my littlest girl (5 year old) sees me watching fishing shows she always asks "is that the fish kissing guy?" If it is she will sit right there and watch the whole thing. She laughs out loud when he does it.

I'm actually in Suffolk Va but say Va Beach because more people can relate to where I live than if I said Suffolk Va. I have had the pleasure of completely taken my boat apart to replace a bad transom from the inside. Its not all that hard of a job and if you have any questions I can let you know how we did the job. I would like to see what your doing. I have an office in Great Bridge are you very far from there?

My daughter is a bit older "21. I took her striper fishing when she was home for christmas break and she hooked up with two of her biggest fish. One was a 40' striper and she caught several in the 30 plus range and she also caught a blue around what had to be between 32 to 38 inches. We had several lines going off and in a rush I got the blue in the boat commented on how big it was and then over the side it went. We then reeled in two more stripers that where already hooked when we heard someone asking over the radio about citation sizes for blues. At that point I realised that the blue I just threw back was probably my daughters first citation. Oh, well.

I'm at the point of lifting the inner liner out of the boat. Still working on a homemade lift, but once it's out I'll have access to the entire insides of the hull. Just from what I can see now it looks like I have a couple of bulkheads outside the stringers that are at least partly detached. Here's a link to the tread of the pics I took over the weekend http://www.wellcraftv20.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=General;action=display;num=11717230 00;start=.

Also, I'm not far from Great Bridge. Maybe 15-20 minutes at most.

Well the weather man screwed up again. Instead of 60's and lite winds tomorrow its going to be in the lower 40's and blowing ne around 23mph so there goes fishing. Next week looks better so maybe then. Now I have to decide if I want to work sense I have taken the day off.

Wet white flakes falling from the sky is a foriegn concept here. We have to drive 20-30 miles inland if we want to try to get a glimps of that stuff.... what's it called again?...http://syncboard.com/albums/album02/snowing_smile.gif

This has been a strange year with the weather. Most of the time we are not cold enough and get the rain but this year it has been plenty cold but noe of the wet stuff. We had a dusting in Suffolk a couple of weeks back and it did snow some last Saturday but thats been all I have seen.
