I think the lawyers are doing a good job up there.

Does a fluke taste like a flounder?

I wonder what De.'s are going to look like.

I'll have to check that the flounder spots in the De bay
are not on the NJ side.

MD is likely to stay the same as last year.

VA is getting whacked. We are looking at 18.5" but probably 19" and around 4 or 5 fish a day.

These guys don't get it. They take something as enjoyable as fishing and place all these limitations on it. Your gonna need to keep a cheat sheet and calendar on your boat to figure out what you can keep for that given day of the month. Between stripers, blackfish, and fluke what are they going to mess with now?? They hit the recreational guys but allow the commercial guys to keep shorts, something really wrong!!! >:(

You got that right, and here in NJ the commercial guys are supposed to be so many miles out, we see them dragging a few hundred yards off the beaches late in the afternoon all the time, no one seems to care or try to catch them. I can't imagine what they are doing at night. How many fluke are they catching and/or killing when they do that >:(

Hey Willy i run out of Nj and in October a one mile stretch of stripers was reported right off Sandy hook, by catch from commercial fisherman. I took home a few keepers this year and threw back a bunch of shorts. To hear about this really gets you annoyed. Stop picking on the rec. guys and go after the real problem. Another thing you know how many gut hooked fluke get tossed back cause they are shorts just to die. Its a shame.

Here in Ma, the rec really take it hard!!

17 1/2 is a good size fish and are getting hard to come by!! Then they only get 7 fish!!

I am commercial Hook & liner, I can have 14" fish and 200 # a day. This was a easy task a few years.

But for some reason a few years ago they started letting the dragger's inside the 3 mile limit and it has been down hill ever since!

Now they want to and will start a Salt fishing Lic. It will pass cause the Fed's are pushing, and the State is against, but when push comes to shove the state will do it cause if its going to happen then the state wants the money!!

I have said on other boards and i will say it here, I will be in jail before I ever pay for a salt lic!! I already pay for boat reg, trailer reg, tax on both, and pay to use the ramps!!

What are they going to do with the money they collect?? Are we going to get more access to the water? Are we going to get more boat ramps? Are we going to get more of the quota?? Are they going to protect then inshore fishery were all us REC fish, which they now allow the dragger's to kill everything in site?

No sir!! I am not paying one cent for my god given right to fish in a free ocean, for wild fish!!

Not as long as the allow dragger's to keep rapeing the ocean! I have been to the meetings were the drag guys say they can catch the year qouta in a week if they were allowed to!
