I would read "pogies" to be Porgies, which are nice eating salt water sunfish, but that may just be because I'm from CT.

CT - WE SPEAK THE SAME LANGUAGE, but I guess it is a live well for bunker.

Pogie is a local term up here for Menhaden or bunker. Porgies are referred to as Scup here.
