Fished lower Chesapeake Bay Bayside & seaside yesterday. Caught 13 kept one. This one was the first throwback. Red/white mirror lure. Fishing in 5ft of water.

Caught a nice bakers dozen, kept one :clap:- Well done - I think your Speckled Trout are like our Weakfish, they look the same - Fun to catch, have to keep them on ice, meat gets soft and bad fast - I do not like to eat them - ENJOY your catch:nice:

nice trip
All that tackle and the old standby,red & white mirro lure did the trick.
Like G said, used to not keep speckled trout, too mushy. The started frying in a shallow pan and mixing half fine corn meal and half corn starch. Makes it very crispy
