Went out fishing and was catching fish then the wind and rain came ,dam it I actually caught a keeper fluke. Was having a good time. Going to try again during the week.
Raritan bay. Can’t tell you exactly but that’s a secret spot.

Step, you got a sandwich. :clap:Heading to Raritan, if for Stripers, try West Bank, buoy 17, on the inside of the channel, 25', anchor up. That's my secret spot, don't tell anyone:haha:. I would put out one stick with a live bunker and the other with a chunk. I have never gone there and not caught a fish and that's where I caught my best, it's a 50lber. but it was my 38lber. For me it's a little late, but you can never tell. Ever since Sandy, flukeing has been tough, she changed all the bottom structure and the old spots aren't there any longer. I haven't been there in years so maybe it has gotten better. Sorry, but this is just my lousy opinion.

By the way my secret spot is right by the breaker wall ,drifting. Nice and calm and you do get fish. My second spot is by the coast guard. I useally stay inside the bay, use to go out to the mud bouy but I don***8217;t anymore. Trust my engine but why go out when I catch fish inside . I also have
Have a good bottom fishing spot inside.

Bgreene I do watch the weather but they are so wrong sometimes 5hat I just go down to my marina and ch3ck it ou5 myself. Sometimes they are right but sometimes 5hey are wrong
Screw that ,here is my fishing report Thursday today
Just got back and the weather was beautiful But no keeper fluke and no blues anywhere but there where a lot of dog fish sharks. Maybe they chased the fluke away. I will try again.
So no fish today.

A very smart man. If you go fishing in your boat and come back safe that’s a very good day. If you catch fish…….thats a great day. I had those days.
