So I replaced 2 brackets for the swim platform. I used the quick dry 4200. Had to cut the old brackets off the stainless rail. Then used the funnel type thing that screws on the tube so i could get the holes filled up. Last hole the back of the tube blew up. Now 4200 all over my hands and tools. I coated the bolts in 4200. Hope I got enough on them, I know I had enough on my hands and everything I touched!

you're supposed to get some 4200 in your hair, preferably somewhere yu dont notice till it hardens, and get some on teh back side of both arms, so when you sit down, you cover the arm rest on your chair. :you:

I called the boat store to see if they have it in stock,
Got some on my fingers, almost as bad as Never-Seize.

I don't care how carefull you are with 4200,5200 and never seize. It alway gets on everything
Just wondering ,should you have used 5200?I know 5200 is more permanent.

I used 4200 so I could take it off next time I have to replace the cheap brackets. And I would look funny with a wrench stuck to my hand with 5200.

First rule or working with any of the aforementioned products.... WEAR GLOVES!! You'll still get it on everything, but at least your hands will be clean. Oh, and you can wash Never-Seize off. Go to Harbor Freight and buy a tub of Tar-Quip soap. (Not Go-Jo). That stuff will remove dirt, grease, grime, you name it.
