This is a very easy peezy question but for some reason I keep coming up with differant amounts
This is it
I'm going to add oil to my gas cause my oil injection system failed. 50 to 1. And I have a 56 gallon tank. So when I fill it up how oil do I add ?

Well, depends how much gas it takes to fill the tank. It s 1 gallon of oil to 50 gallons of gas
A gallon is 128 oz divided by 50 is 2.56 or rounded up to 3, so 3 oz per gallon.
So 58 gallons of gas would be 1 gallon and 24oz of oil
I d just put in one gallon and add another quart
Algebra lesson over
Somebody ,please check my math, not one of my better skill sets

get a mixing jug, makes it easy. I keep a 10 gallon line marked on mine. Every 10 gallons, I dump the jug in, add a little ring free, then add another 10 gallons, rinse and repeat

Phatdaddy I was out the day they taught algebra. I will take your word. One gallon plus 24 ozs ,I hope your right. I was at the pool room that day I remember saying who needs algebra.
2.6 ozs times 56. What does that come to?

You need to do like spare said unless you plan on running it empty every time.

I have a small bottle from boat shop. Has the different ratios on it for different gallons. Get a 5 gal can full of gas, fill up the oil bottle to 50-1 for 5 gallon. dump oil in gas can. done, just a pain compared to filling it right at the gas pump.

I don t know how step tracks his fuel. My 150 merc 2 stroke got 2 mpg, so I would use my trip on gps and when I went 40 to 60 miles, I knew I needed 20 or 30 gallons and would add oil per fuel consumption
50 to one is wide open consumption so you don t have to get it exact

I put in a gallon (128) ozs plus 24 ozs. (152) ozs for 56 gallons and it seemed good. Smoke coming from exhaust. Not to much just enought I think .
