What the heck is a B107? Sounds like a radio station. ;D Looks like a lot of work, but what boat isn't. Not too bad for a 25-yr. old.

Nice boat for a '79. I have a question about the canopy. Is that canopy style OEM issue ? I will be wanting to put a canopy of some type on my boat - and notice that most people add bimini tops they can fully walk under ? How do people like the biminis compared to the OEM type - which I assume you cant fully stand up under. Personally, I like the look of the OEM canopy over the bimini tops. Has anyone ever had the OEM style canopy duplicated ? Just curious. Thanx, Brian

I have only seen bimini tops for sale in catalogs, but I'm sure you can have a camper top made if you want one or buy one used from somebody who replaced it with a bimini. I still have the original camper top on my boat, and it looks just like that one except it's off-white and dirtier (but no holes). You're right, you can't stand up under it. It also gets very warm under there even on cool summer days. That said, it will keep you dry underway and at anchor in rain without the added cost, work and care of the side and forward eisenglass curtains necessary to enclose a bimini. I have to believe a bimini is better for just getting out of the sun than a camper top since there would be more of a breeze. I only use my top when I'm out in the rain, but I have to admit, I have wished for a bimini when I have the kids out on a sunny day.

I have a Bimi and I almost never use it!! Its always in the way!! I flod it down onto the bow. I put it on when i no I am going to fish in the rain!!
I think I would like to be able to leave it up in the air but I don't no how they fold it up and keep it up??
I no it has to do with some sliding bars or something?
I don't know!! when I have it I hate it, when I leave it at home I want it?? I am so confused!!!!!!!!
Shoot thats boats in beautiful shape for a 79. The wood looks perfect. Great project boat. Wish I could.

Hello, I purchased this boat from Ebay. Went to Oklahoma, picked it up and got to see my new grandbaby all in one shot. Turns out that it was donated to the childrens ministry there, so I get to claim the payment on my taxes. I have owned a few boats, but this is my first V-20. The wife loves it and I am beginning to think that I made a good choice (wife and boat). This is a great site. ;D

I had the camper style for a little while, but in fl it was just too hot. *Went to the bimini and love it. *Macojoe, I had mine made with the two straps on the front made out of aluminum tubing. *That way you can fold it forward and put the boot on the topand it is out of the way. *It is tall enough to still access the bow andwhen you need it unboot it,flip it back, and attach the rear straps.
