I won't argue that there is no climate change. I won't even argue that it isn't being caused by man. I will, however, argue that it's not being caused by what we are being told is causing it. It is a fact that since roughly the year 2000 the earth has started shifting on it's axis. Not a lot each year, just a tiny fraction, but each year it shifts just a little bit more. And yes, it's man made. How, you may ask, does man make something as big as the earth shift on it's axis. The answer is weight redistribution. It seems that all the weight redistribution is occurring along the same parallel. Since 2000 China has poured more concrete than all the concrete poured in the US since 1900. At the same time, India is pumping water out of the ground at roughly the rate of Lake Erie every week. (That's 127 Trillion gallons of water, or roughly 1,059,848,541,887,125.100 pounds). Now, some of that water goes back into the ground, a lot is lost to evaporation, and a lot makes it's way into rivers and eventually the ocean. They have to drill their wells deeper and deeper every year. And all of this is taking place along the same northern hemisphere line. And then there's the US also. Analysis reveals large changes in water mass in areas like California, northern Texas, the region around Beijing and northern India, all areas that have been pumping large amounts of groundwater for agricultural use.
So the earth has been shifting. Some of it naturally, some of it from man. And with the shift comes melting glaciers that further redistribute weight and cause even more shifting.

Destroyer please post the source of your information . Proof and facts of your claims regarding China and concrete and the reason.
Havent seen any such in our own credible NASA and other reports all of which link to carbon emissions.

Global warming this time is caused by us humans burning fossil fuels and carbon emissions and its already happening
Trumps short sighted love of coal and oil is NOT in the future interests of our nation or our world .

Yup. Trump is the cause of global warming. He also killed Hoffa, is hiding DB Cooper and he shot JR.
I tell you what... we’ve had more southern species of fish than ever before. We’re actually able to target cobia and Spanish mackerel. We have more sharks right off our beaches than we could have imagined. We’re getting dolphin less than 10 miles offshore. Bluefin tuna on our inshore reefs and yellowfin just a 30 mile run out the inlet.
GOD BLESS GLOBAL WARMING!!!!! By the time it becomes an issue.... I’ll be long gone.

Nah.... obviously, my main concern is you and what makes you happy. All I want in life is to know that you’re safe. I can’t believe I came off sounding so selfish.
Let me try another direction. MY FAMILY is the only thing on this sh!tty planet that matters!! If at some point my boys decide they want kids, that will matter. I don’t give a Phuck what kind of world I leave behind. All that matters is that I make the best of it, NOW! While I’m here to enjoy it!
That is all.

Well then there it is as you say you don’t give a F what kind of world you leave behind.
But if your kids have kids then it may matter.
Well then it should matter.
I believe we’re all custodians of our planet - our home and should each do our part .
Our Govt is entrusted to plan for our nations future as well.

Or will you therefore call NASA fake too ? The fad of excuses - call anything you don’t want to accept “ fake “

Bgreen - I haven’t had time to read a lot of his stuff, but Bjorn Lomborg is an environmentalist with some different (from the conventional wisdom) conclusions about what to do about climate change. I’m not addressing the man made issue, but positing some different analysis of the data and a different view of remedies. He seems to have background/education that gives him a more holistic approach.

Your response is not responsive. I didn’t challenge the issue of climate change or of the statements that it’s man made. I suggested you might be interested in the analysis of a competent academic who is very on board with the idea of climate change, but his analysis suggests that we are accepting some bad information, leading to hysteria and that the mainstream approach to moving away from fossil fuel is a poor one. The extent to which we’re taxing the poor by encouraging high energy costs is, in my view, obscene.
There will almost certainly be people who die of the cold, not able to afford fuel to heat their residences and people on the low end of the income scale are being generally brutalized. Rampant inflation isn’t helping retired fixed income people either.
If you don’t want to broaden your perspective by reading Prof. Lomborg’s material, by all means don’t, but you might show enough respect to respond in some sensible way. I had hoped we might have a respectful discussion of some of the issues you’re concerned about - is that possible?

Scook Undeniable proof that global warming is now caused by human industry
Carbon dioxide from human activity is increasing more than 250 times faster than it did from natural sources after the last Ice Age.

The Biden administration’s refusal to distinguish between our principal military adversary and climate change is yet more evidence that the military is following ideology instead of winning our wars.

bgreene - like I said, your response is not responsive. Whether I swallow it whole or not, the material you provide has nothing to do with my suggested reading. Bjorn Lomborg is a respected environmentalist who has some observations on the data and its interpretation by the mainstream, political, non scientists and particularly the direction they are pushing “solutions”.
He suggests, for one thing, that we move away from fossil fuel use without taxing the poor to death, which is what we’re doing right now.
Again, if you’re not interested in actually processing the issues and reading to learn things you don’t know, don’t.

Point of this thread is global warming has been confirmed as caused by human industry this time . Moving away from fossil fuels - yes, a good thing.

Well, three times, you don’t respond. More like an observation than “judgment”. Prof. Lomborg has ideas of HOW to get away from fossil fuels that avoid the despicable, purposeful rampant inflation of fuel prices, so the liberal, elitists don’t absolutely brutalize the poor. I don’t know if you have ever gone home to a very cold house (my wife and I both did as kids), but the popular pursuit of reducing dependence on fossil fuel by making it obscenely expensive, when many have NO affordable, available alternative, is a callous disregard for the people the liberals SAY they represent and care about. That’s either epic stupidity, arrogance or just a huge lie - I vote for all three in varying degrees. People will certainly die prematurely as a result of the policies being pursued.
I have made an effort to have a respectful discussion of some issues, but it doesn’t look like you’re having any of that. You just repeat the same thing over and over and the possibility that some of it is true doesn’t make posting it responsive to the issues we are attempting to discuss.

Ok so you’re impressed by this one persons opinion- I respect that.
Break us off from dependence on fossil fuels - yes I agree with that too .
FACT that BIG OIL and the REPUBLICAN PARTY have been too closely aligned - that’s a FACT
No problem here sir - the DEMOCRATIC PARTY pushes alternative fuels.
You believe there’s an even better way - ok too .

I think it would take alot to slow climate change. Look at the products at the store and think about what we had when we were kids. Im 43 some of u older and younger. I remember metal toys that were handed down. Now everything is plastic and junk, it is amazing if it lasts a couple weeks. Then we throw it out or recycle it.
How about buying anything else? everything has to be in a huge plastic case to get your attention.
Buy a new fuel efficient car? More plastic and they use a coal biproduct in the plastic to make it non conductive. Then all the fancy machines that need to be made to make the new fancy car. Then they need to make more special tools to fix the new car. Now we need to send technicians all over to schools to learn how to work on the new cars. Open the hood of a new car and look at the plastic covers and crap not needed just to make it look good compared to a 1971 jeep.
Im not sure about the new electric vehicles yet. Batteries are not environmentally friendly. And you need to plug them into a coal fired electric plant to charge them. It seems like you are doing the right thing, no gas and no emmissions out of the tail pipe. Out of sight out of mind. I would like one compared to a gas car for 100,000 miles. I might be wrong.
I worked at a heavy truck shop for 4 years. Most of my work was fixing all the emissions crap on the new trucks that were only a couple years old. You couldnt give me a truck with emissions on it.
Everyone needs their house to have air condition and heated to 72 all year long. And they think they need a 4000 sq ft house for a family of 4.
I dont think we can slow global warming, people are too lazy and would rather have convenience. Plus the people pushing it have huge houses, private jets and huge boats. If the people pushing this want us to follow they shouldnt have climate change meetings where they all fly in jets. My son does cyber school, why cant they do it over the computer? Yeah they are made of plastic too.
It would be great to slow climate change I just dont think most people could do it. They are lazy and dont care.

Agreed - it will be hard to stop the current global warming - but not impossible according to scientists.
