Fuel line

I did see what you said destroyer about staying with marine grade fuel line , does it matter cause my fuel line will run under the deck so no sun will hit it's? Also isn't all the fuel lines today alcohol resistant? If anyone is reading this its because I asked a question about ,is it ok to use automotive furl line on my boat.

Marine grade is a heavier wall fuel line to meet CG fire requirements and that about the only difference.

Use marine grade only. Automotive grade fuel line is much smaller in diameter than marine grade because it doesn't have the extra outer layer, and it can collapse under vacuum.

Use marine rated A1 fuel line for below deck, B1 can be used above deck. I avoid anything that has a liner, sooner or later it separates from the inside of the fuel line. take a short piece, cut it lengthwise and see if it has a liner. The grey stuff varies greatly due the manufacture. Some of it will kink real easy, most of it has the internal liner. Its hard to beat the heavy black fuel line.

My local marine supply house carries Sierra brand I believe. It's the heavy black fuel hose and has never failed me. The local hose shop carries lowrance brand and the hose is quite a bit thinner. I always go with the Sierra hose as it has never failed on me, even after extended use.
