Took my boat home today ,wanted to winterize it but the motor just cranked, no start the last time I was out I got back and the engine ran bad like only on half the plugs firing, I tried to start her today and she didn't start just cranked, I got spark I know that battery is good , I think I'm getting gas but I'm not sure, what should I do next? It's a 1988 150 Mercury black max how do I know if I'm getting gas? Could I squirt gas into the carbs? Any direction would be great thanks
easy things first. charge battery fully, check battery connections, and cable ends, it can crank on a low battery and with a loose terminal but not start. clean plugs. check fuel filter(s) for debris or water. fresh fuel. check oil. try starting after each step. good luck.

I did check and clean the spark plugs, the battery seems good ( cranked fast) I have two batterys I will use the two for cranking, I will check the two fuel filters , than after that?.

squirt some gas in it, if it hits you know you have spark. Open the throttle, squirt some in, then close the throttle before attempting to start it. If you don't get it to hit, you're spark is weak. Did you check the kill switch?

No spare I didn't check the kill switch but I took the cover off the carbs and they look dry , I did have spark to all the plugs, thanks to harbor freight spark tester, Would the kill switch kill spark to the plugs?
