So the 78' models have the raised deck and belly tank. Was this the first year of that or was it 77'? I know the 76' models still had saddle tanks.

Thanks it has had twin tanks put in which are 75 gallon tanks so total of 150 gallons and repowering it from one 225 Johnson to either twin 140 Counter Johnsons i got from Blue_Runner or going to use my twin 225 Johnsons to see how fast she'll fly lol. I've put a 3 1/2" thick, 28" high transom in it for twin 25" shaft motors. Hope to be flying soon lol.

Skool,

My 75' had twin 115 Evinrude short shafts (I need to find a picture) and it was plenty FAST. The comfort of twins when you have older motors makes for a good fishing trip. We were offshore alot so there weren't usually alot of other boats around if you needed a tow. I came back in a few times on a single engine, but the point is I got back in on my own. Never needed a tow.

Thanks lol I'll post some picks once i mount the twins on the boat. I wonder what the GPS will show for speed on her. I've seen one at the coast with Twin 150 Johnsons and it ran out really nice. But he only had one 60 gallon tank. I hope 150 gallons keeps me running awhile. But My 250 Sea Ray holds a ton of fuel at 230 gallons. It hurts to see the gauge below half a tank.

Hard to believe. My outboard dyno's at 248 hp and I can't break 60mph,and that is with only drag from one motor.

yeah, Franco...if he hit a wave @ 74, it probably would be considered a "launch"... :o...
