Hey RAP, a while back you posted something about a small heater you've got in your cuddy. Now that I have a full enclosure[and fiercely proud of it] tell me about this heater,I would be very interested in one of those

Hey Phester, I used an electric ceramic heater ( try J.C. Whitney if you cant find ) I also know how to set up a killer heater for those guys with an I/O

Phester, the one I use is a "disc" shaped unit that a small propane bottle screws onto...legs fold down to stand it on an angle...last time I used it, it was COLD and WET...we were dry and warm...it's a Coleman propane catalytic heater from Cabelas...

Well, just went thru Cabelas...they don't show it anymore, but they got a Mr. Heater, uses the same 1lb propane bottle...same price as mine and looks like it'll do the same job... ;)...

IF YOU LOOK IN SOME OF THE HOTROD CAR CATALOGS OR EVEN J C WHITNEY THEY HAVE AN ACCESORY HEATER - YOU PLUMB IT INTO YOU COOLING SYSTEM AND MOUNT IT IN THE CABIN - WORKS LIKE A CHAMP, NO PROPANE/FLAMES/CATALYTIC HEAT TO DEAL WITH - THE ONLY POWER YOU NEED IS 12 VOLTS TO THE FAN -

HUMMMMMMMM Boat with no where to run and Fire for Heat Not my Idea of a fun trip. That is great for I/O boats though just use an under dash street rod heater and run heater hose to your cabin with a cut off under the motor cover for summer use. Plus that heater will help cool your motor if it starts to get hot. Just get an inverter for 12V DC to 120V AC and get a small electric heater for a tent or pop-up camper from Camper World.

Skool, that's what the raw water wash down is for - to put out the fire ;D

Yeah I can just see BR with his wash down hose fighting a fire when all of a sudden the damn battery dies and the pump stops. LMAO Oh now not only are we burning but pumping water in the boat but the bilge pump can't run now with dead battery so now we are sinking. LOL Well guess with 2 bealing buckets you have it made one to throw water in the boat on the fire one for your buddy to throw it back out before you sink.

I always keep two buckets in the boat for that very reason.
