Raritan bay today April 11

Day off to fish .....E wind against tide 2’-3’ chop and chilly early but no matter......trolled up two thick stripers 34” and 37” .
Conditions calmed but fishing slowed so headed in at about noon.

Saw 4 V boats including a very clean V21 back at the ramp.
Can always spot these boats.....the ones with fish on and nets hitting the water !

Fished Raritan again yesterday - lots of action on shorts and three keeper sized bass.
Surprise of day was 20” fluke that hit a plug on the troll- also quickly released.
Very calm seas

Bgreen do you use Atlantic highlands municiple marinas boat ramp?

Step - no - Wagners and the place straight across the creek from Wagners.
Always calm flat water, much less crowded.

Fished again last Saturday, got on the fish again. Only kept one.
Lots of boats getting fish every day......
