Yesterday Joe and I went Black fishing with high hopes of catching some nice Tog by the MPB. We had a perfect day weather wise and a perfect tide, a slow incoming. We anchored up right off the Marine Parkway Bridge, no rushing water, we held bottom with 2 and 3 ounces of lead, which is a rare thing by the bridge. Joe and I picked away at 35 Black fish with not one freakin' 16" or better, we had life all day and we lost a lot of fish. There were plenty of 15" and 15 3/4", all had to be returned. We also got two real big Porgy's, they were sent back to live another day.

All in all it was a great day to be on the water with a good friend.

Unless you are hungry or needing to stock up for when you will be hungry, fishing is not about keeping the fish... it's about the peace and relaxation that you get from being on the water or the side of a stream or lake and just *being* with nature. And if you have someone to share that rare time with it's so much the better. Congrats on your great day fishing.
