Sammy (whom the boat is named after) was my old Beagle.... dog loved to fish. She used to steal my catch and try to eat them on me, and steal the bait right from the livewell.. This V20 will official be
"SammyDog 4"

Sammy Dog 1 was a 20' Trophy
Sammy Dog 2 26' Penn Yann hardtop
Sammy Dog 3 81 Tiara 3100 open

Welcome SammyDog, had an old beagle that loved boat rides. Miss him a bunch.

This is a great site so long as you can put up with a couple of us freaks.

Aint much someone here hasnt done, attempted, or at least thought about with one of these boats.

pics shes in really good shape. transom has some weird cap on it. i checked underneath, very very minimal moisture thank god. likely treat w git rot and put some new cstock over the top before i add an outboard. i have seats and electronics. really just going to clean her up this year and get her fishing. may paint her black below rub rail next year and put on a hardtop, maybe next year if not the year after. shell be rigged for great lakes salmon and NE striper fishing.

im thinking a 175-200hp 2 stroke.. as id like to get a kicker back there for trolling. anyone have kickers on their rigs? cant figure best place to mount, unless i go with a gaerlick moveable mount.

150 4 stroke and you don't need a kicker to troll

It's a long haul, but I'Ve been known to trailer my rig up to the Salmon River and fish Lake Ontario for Salmon and Steelhead. You probably saw it in another post, but this is how I have my kicker mounted:
