Bow rail

Did anyone ever replace the rail fittings on a 78 wellcraft steplift? The reason I'm asking is I have to replace all the fittings ( which I have ) and the 78 wellcraft a bow rail is the only year that I know of is wear the ends have a sharp bend at the ends , the only way I see is to cut the rail, but where? Thanks for any advice

I guess no one ever cut one in half, when I do it I will post the out come , I hope it's a good one At least if it doesn't come out the way I think it should I might save some one else the trouble, the 1978 steplift is the only year I think comes with the bow rail benth down at the end

I just looked at the catalogues in the historysection, i see what you mean. I wonder if you could bend it back straight, slide fitting on, then re-bend.

I don't think so? How would I do that? A pipe bender but to get it straight I don't think I can do that, I did think about it
