Mercruiser 5.7 EFI

Complete drop in used 5.7 EFI(throttle body) Mercruiser engine. I'm guessing a 1998-2000 model as it has vortec heads and MEFI ECU. Set up for an Alpha. This engine was removed from a boat due to loss of oil pressure. The oil sender rusted enough from an exhaust leak that it lost all its oil while underway. I replaced the sender and started the engine up, it runs, but has a knock in the bottom end. It will need rework. This engine has all the accessories still on the engine. Starter, alternator, wire harness, Injection, manifolds, power steering etc... If you are restoring a boat that the engine was missing, this will have all the assorted parts you will need. this is a slat water engine, but looks pretty good.

I threw 2 of those out a few years back. Mercruiser used the standard 2 barrel carb intake, then had a special adapter cast to bolt the 3 bolt tbi unit onto the 4 bolt 2 barrel carb intake flange.

I have a blown FWC 5.7 Vortec carbed with intake manifold and just about everything else that was on it

Thank You for your reply.. I have one of the adaptor plates from 4 barrel to TBI. I also have need for a Intake for the newer engines GM-V8 with vortec heads that used the injector made into the intake runner 1 injector for each cly. Muti-port injection. Thanks leave me know if you have one of these .

Which style multi port? There was 2 different ones used by mercruiser. There was the early multi port which was a edelbrock performance intake that had injector bungs cadt in, and then the later style that looked like the one used in a 96-00 pickup with a 5.7l engine. And of the later style, there is 2 variants of it, the early upper had a 3 bolt throttle body, and the later upper has a 4 bolt throttle body.

Thanks.. Yea I will keep looking..This site has so much good info on and the few guys that have reply are always helpful to newbies like me. I purchased my V-20 2016 (after I was hired by the previous owner to totally rebuilt IB/OB unit and rewire ) have really come to like it this year for the way she handles the water.
