Primer ball or fuel pump. I'd also use merc oem parts only on both of those items

Agreed, OEM parts only. I'd look at pretty much every part of your fuel system. Somewhere you have an air leak that's allowing the system to fill with air over time, causing you to lose prime. Check all your hose connections, wherever there's a hose barb. If the hose spins on the barb easy that's a potential leak point. How old are the quick connectors on the hose ends that connect your hose to the portable tank and to the engine? If the little "o" ring seal on the one from the tank is cracked that will allow air into the system also.

Look for a fuel leak at the carb. The float bowl should hold more than enough fuel for days for the engine to be able to be restarted even if all the fuel lines let the fuel run out. And have enough fuel for it to run long enough to pick fuel back up. Or are you having to choke the engine and thats why you're having to reprime it.

No I don't have to choke it I have to prime it What should I look for by the bowl? Fuel leaking or wet I will check all the connections on the line and see if I see something
