View Full Version : Amberjacks...Flounder and spades ohh my!

Ran south out of ruddee inlet 25 miles and had a blast live baiting Amberjacks. Caught nice flounder up to 7 lbs and jumped over board and speared a 2 man limit of spade fish.

You guys down south seem to have a great variety of fish, in addition to the species we have up north of New Jersey.

We are right on that line here in virginia beach. We are about as far north as the amberjack and king mackrel go. We are blessed no doubt. Wreck fishing here can give you some really nice mixed bag days.

Good deal..........but is that a V boat in the pics ? Can't tell............

If it's not a V, you'll have to delete the post, sell the boat, buy a V, and re post.

Man im on a live baiting kick on the wreck flounder these days. Im actuall trying different things like using small live blue runner and and flounder skirt in front of them...almost like a duster tig for kings but with a flounder rig type skirt. Really draws in the bigger flounder. Dont seem to catch as many fish but the ones you do are quality. I experiment alot with fishing.

Thats my v20 im on....i dont know how much v20 is left after all the chopping i did on that rig. I get so many people that look at my boat and go "what kind of boat is that?" or they think its a custom carolina boat. When i tell em i built it and that its a v20 there jaws drop to the ground!
