I almost burned up my Yamaha due to Ethanol. It ate up my fuel lines from the inside and trash from that leaned out the bottom 2 cylinders. Luckily I caught it in time. One thing I will say though is the boat was much more fuel efficient with ethanol vs non ethanol.

But....but....How will the big giant farming conglomerates make enough money to survive without us buying ethanol and them getting subsidies from our taxes?
:oh:
I haven't even considered this. I have an old, carburated 2-stroke (150 Black Max)... How can I tell if I'm putting harmful fuel in her when I gas up? What additives should I consider to help curb damage? I currently use Sta-bil and Sea Foam on every fill.
Thanks

Both of those additives are an alchol based additive making erhanol problems worse imo. I used star tron in mine, and sea foam was a shock only type of treatment. I now use ethanol free, and no more worries.

Couldn't of said it better myself. i remember watching some of the original ads for it and it had some old timely, homegrown farmer saying how great it was for 'Merica. Yea... Horse****. Just billionaires making more billions.
Fortunately we have 2 close by stations that sell it at a pretty good price. Usually $.40-.50 more /gal. then ethanol.
