May be a dumb question, but does anyone know why Wellcraft used those ugly windshields (imo) with the rectangular side glass on the walk-thru V20's instead of using the same set up as the cuddy? No offense to any walk-thru owners of course. Wonder if you could install the cuddy style on one. Now that would look sharp.
Thanks,
Bo

Yea I'm not a fan of the dual console windshields either. I've never really seen one up close so not sure if there was a reason to it or not but I do know I've seen a few different makers of DC's that look the same.

I think thats what makes them look so Badass!
Console is much farther back so you couldn't put a long windsheild.

I like mine it makes it nice when pulling up to the dock you don't have to get out of your seat to bean a line.

I kinda like them too. Wish my cuddy windshields would flip outwards like the Offshores do. Sometimes you just want a little breeze. I've found running with the center windshield closed and the sliding hatch open gives you a cool breeze on your feet and the dog.

its a "form follows function" thing. the dually was, i believe, designed to be a fishing boat that is a lot more comfortable than a center console. to that end longer windshields would very much get in the way. and i think they look good. more of a muscle car look than a sport car look

I have owned three V20's two Cuddy and one DC. I think that the DC is the best riding of all. The center of gravity seems different, and requires no tabs for bow up/dn, only for side to side, and at cruise speed, none. I also think that they could have made the windshield sides come back further towards the stern. Nice on a warm sunny day, and I never get wet in this great hull.
I wonder if anyone has modified the windshields on the DC, would love to see it.
