You can mix lots of combinations as long as the heavy pulls deeper on the bottom line...

Mojo makes trolling and catching easier as most any rod will do, provided it can handle the drag.

Interesting how new methods migrate along and become a standard method so quickly

Hollow, adjustable lead weight above your lure.

Heavy jig head (12-20oz) on 6 foot leader with shad body.
Connect leader to beefy 3 way swivel.
Run 15- 20 footleader to same three way and affix another jig head that is at least 1/2 the weight and apply another shad body. Tie your fishing line to the remaining 3 way eye.
Use 60- 100lb Fluor leader.
Lead head weights according to how deep you are fishing.
Let the rig out.....heavy jig first as you troll 2.5-3mph then throw the light jig out as it will swim higher in water.

Feed line out without slack till you feel the jig hit bottom and put in gear. The rig will then swim a few feet above bottom. You can run it deeeper if you then let out a little more line for 2nd bottom bump.

And then catch stripers

Ok, thanks for the explanation and pics. I have been saying for years that I am going to learn how to catch stripers. But my striper opportunity will be in freshwater lakes, we have several lakes within 45 miles of my house that have landlocked stripers, I would imagine that rig will work for them as well.
