Brandnew never shot 223. Im gonna setting it up as my short range coyote gun. Not sure what grain im gonna shoot with the 1:7 twist. Theres alot of debate on that subject. I will also be putting a modest 3-9x40 ar223 scope with quickb detach base on top. Any other ideas you guys have im all ears.

I've got the Colt variant. It really takes a lot of shooting in order to get used to that Tommy Gun style foregrip. Mine came with the Magpul version. It comes right off, but I left it because it looks just so darn cool. IMO There are way too many scopes to choose from.. Are you going to try and keep/use the iron sights? One thing I don't like, the fact that it is there instead of being here.:clap:

I'd put a laser light on it if your doing a short range coyote gun if your in lower light. My buddy has one on his and puts a hurting on them when then sneak around his fences. Let's him get a few shots off

Im gonna strip the iron sights off and do strictly scope and occasionally mount a red dot HUD style sight when wanting to do some quick aquisition shooting.

Here's a nice scope that incorporates red dot and magnification into one unit. At around 2 - 3 times the cost of an AR, you have to be pretty flush to buy one but it's a really cool scope. I saw one when I toured their plant with a friend who works there and I'd sure love to have one - of course, I should probably think about getting the AR first***129297;.

thought ya'll might like this, AR's take up a bunch of room in the safe, especially if they have glass on them. I built this slide out for my AR's

Swapped out the 7 inch quad rail with a 12 inch key mod free float foregrip. Scope is a bushnell.223 ballistic scope with medium profile rings. Now to find out which varmint round shoots best from the 1:7 twist
