Hey All,
Ive been thinking about putting tabs on my v20, and i have heard that they can help the ride a lot. I have NO experience with them, so i was wondering if anyone here does and could point me in a good direction?
Boat is a 90 V20 with a 2000 Johnson 150

Bennett Trim Tabs would be my recommendation. Hydraulic, worry free, last a good long time. And yes, they make your ride a whole lot smoother, especially in rough water.

I ran my V21 before .........and now after installing Bennett M120 trim tabs.
I strongly recommend, and yes, the ride is MUCH better.....not a little better.
You'll be able to run chop without pounding, and between the motor trim and tabs, set best ride for assorted conditions. I wouldn't want this boat without tabs, unless running only on flat lakes.........

Just my observation, most manufactures prefer lenco tabs. One guy told me its due to the compact design, no hydraulic pumps, etc... They even offer a bennett retro fit kit. A couple of years ago, bennett started to offer an electric trim system to compete.

I put a set of Bennett tabs and they make a huge difference. Not only to keep the bow from pounding. But also to level off the boat in a cross wind. I would only use Bennet tabs. I replace lots of bad Lenco actuators at work. I think the little extra time you may spend installing the Bennett tabs will pay off in the long run with it's reliability.

I suggest the Bennett M120's over the M80's...... the 120's should be perfect with 150 hp.
