Southern / western NJ......I'll have to keep up with it brushing the snow off my boat tarp.
Wouldn't want my V21 to get any snow on it.... nope, it spends the winter under the tarp with nice air ventilation, cuddy emptied of gear, hatches open nice and dry.
It actually spends just about all " resting time " under the tarp 12 months a year when not in use. Wouldn't want the gel coat to get too much UV rays on it......might fade.
Got the trailer tires off too, so they don't sit with all that pressure in one position too long........
A freak, that's it.

My boat was in my heated shop till last Monday when I had to take it out to work on another boat. I have the floor all opened up so it can't get wet right now. I'll probably put it in our storage warehouse at work. Looks like it could be a serious storm. Lots of flooding too. There's not much beaches left. I hope they can take the abuse of this one.

Since you have to put the trailer on blocks to take off the tires, why not just jack up the trailer and put the axles on blocks with the tires off the ground?... Lots easier that removing the tires. Faster too. :head:
And yes, storm warnings are out... We (NJ ) can expect anywhere from 0 - 24" of snow... And right now it looks like the southern part of the state is going to get hit the hardest. Of course, as we all know, that can change at any time. But the Winter Storm warning is carrying through till midday Sunday...

Relations were scheduled to leave NE Ohio tomorrow for Florida, traveling through West Virginia and Virginia. I tried to talk them into leaving today, but they couldn't so they're going to wait until Sunday, hoping that the roads will have been cleared by then. The best laid plans . . .
It's looking like strong winds will accompany all that snow, making power outages a strong possibility for some areas. Y'all plan accordingly!

uv rays will make short work on a tire while sitting!! Thats why I take my tire's off and store inside in winter with just enough air so they don't break the bead.
we are just looking at 3 to 5 here in ma, you guys are going to get slamed!

More of a problem in the south than in the north, but I agree with you so I use tire covers during storage. They protect from UV, Ice, snow etc. I forget how much I paid for mine, since it was years ago, but they still look and work like new. This link is just so you can see the type of cover I'm talking about. Just do a search of trailer tire covers on eBay to find dozens of dealers selling them.
