...yet so far. Thought I found the ultimate "V"(for me)...no such luck.
The main reason I liked is because of the closed transom w/bracket. Also, no handrail, no t-top, aluminum tandem trailer. Spoke to the dealer earlier..."Boats in great shape...just has some cracks where the bracket meets the transom...." bah!!!
The search continues...................

I like the aux. motor on the outboard. is that electric, gotta be electric. How would the main power react at 5,000 rpm's with the little backup on the lower unit. Never have seen that... You might wanna ck the boat out anyhow the cracks might not be that bad. Nice cooler seat at the helm. Good Luck... Make a offer all they can say is no.

I personally like the clean look of no bow rails. ;) Good for fishing too. 8)

Tinman,
That boat has been down here for quite some time. I haven't driven down to New Orleans (Marrero) to see it. The Boat Yard is notorious for high listing prices. An offer from you could take that thing for much less than they are asking. Not a whole lot of people shopping for boats in that area right now. More worried about where they are going to live and the daily necessities of life. I say make an offer and see what happens.
On a side note, I was in New Orleans just a few days ago and visited the site of the 17th street canal levee breach. Amongst all the destruction I saw a V-20 under a carport about 1/4 mile down from where the breach occurred. I'm sure it was full of mud as there was about 8' - 10' of water at that location. I'm amazed it wasn't washed away - just about everything else was. Miles and miles of total destruction. Very sad.
Tinman,
If I get down there again I'll try to check it out for you.

Thanks Maury.
I'm not really looking for a project boat. I'm in NY so that's a long ways. I will travel for the right boat if I have to. If I had to re-do the transom on that boat it wouldn't be worth the drive, I can find that right here.
I just really liked the way that one was set-up. Only thing that I could see that I would've needed to do was install a leaning post and probably replace the teak with Starboard.
:)
