I have an '85 V20 with the original factory captain's chair at the helm. That's the only seating in the boat. In addition to figuring out a solution to where everyone else is going to sit, I wanted to replace the upholstery on the captain's chair. Its original and its shot. Does anyone know of the factory replacement for the cushions before I have an upholstery shop make a new one?

You might be able to have a local guy make up a set if he/she has a pattern made up but if he has to start from scratch ($$$$) you will probably be better off buying from a website like above.

You look like a nice skinny guy, so I'll let you in on something, I'll bet most of these guys barely fit in those original seats & went out & bought a big cushy Todd like I did.
I still have one on the passengers side & it has original cushions too. Pretty torn up just like yours, haven't been able to find anything stock that'll fit any better than I do, & I'm too cheap to have them made....
Looks like getting them made would be your best choice though. If you do, make sure if you do it to get quality marine vinyl, that stuff is expensive but anything else just won't hold up nearly as long.
Good luck

Just followed Inaforty's link, man that looks like it just might be the ticket!, I'm taking a tape measure out to the boat!.

If you end up getting the cushions, please post on here how it worked for you. I've always used the original captains chair w/o cushions but it'd be nice to add them if they fit.

I threw my cushions out many years ago. Looked fine but were always wet. Threw out the passenger chair too. thats what coolers are for....
waxmania-- the solution to passenger seating is a 100 qt cooler. (mounted hinges out so you can open the lid with a cushion on it)

Thanks. My nickname growing up was "the Thin Man", as in William Powell... The link up there is close, but my seats are tan. I also thought maybe of having some arm rest cushions made and some extra padding so I can use it as a leaning post too. Its probably cheaper just to buy a new seat!

Thanks! I have a pair of tan jump seats between the engine box at the stern, but I was waiting on a solution to the rest. I don't like the back-to-back lounge seats, but I wasn't sure what else I would use.
I did see this Moppie with a similar open setup and thought at least one cooler would be good and maybe a dual console design. http://www.yachtforums.com/attachments/img_0612_edited-jpg.48556/

Hey Wax,
I pulled these seats with bases out of the V that I bought. They have cushions that are in ok condition. One of the seats needs a plastic bushing (about $10) that fits over the base. I'll sell them for $50 for the pair if your interested.
I'm about a 30 minute ride from you in Acushnet.

Silvermax here, a new member with a (new) 1976 V. I am interested in these seats if available. I am also looking for more items. My boat is very original and stripped down. I am trying to restore it
