who's in the area of mount pleasant SC??? does this seem too cheap for this boat? would love a whaler this size but twice the price, or more. this one doesn't look that bad.

30 year 0ld hull
20 year old motor
seems about right
i had a 16 ft wahoo w/70 omc. great boat it was the side console version. had a built in fuel tank under the seat, no way to get to it without major surgery.
like a whaler without the whaler price, which also reflects in the resale

Price looks about right to me. They tend to go for slightly less down here.

I was thinking it was a little high... Would need to talk him down a bit.

oh, I would definitely bang him down. when they say 'OBO', they don't know just how bad they're gonna get beat up. funny, same boat in a whaler is up around 10 to 12k.

Well I suppose you could offer to pay more ............
Doesn't seem high to me, if hull, motor, trailer checks out and you want it, I'd offer less.
Realistic, but less........

With a WHALER you're paying for the name more than anything else. Nothing wrong with a McKee as I almost bought one before I got the deal on my skiff.

Have y'all seen the price of EVERYTHING these days? Price isn't too bad for OBO if everything checks out and is turn key. It's still summer for a little while. I like it more because it's not a whaler.

That's funny - me too. Had a 16 ' Mirrocraft and it leaked badly by the time I was done with it.
That boat would pound while still on the trailer !!! We beat it to death. Bang, bang, through 2' chop running 40hp Mariner. Fished it for about 9 years. Not nearly enough boat for me, but caught lots of fish on it. !!!
