after spending yet another season without a boat, my 5th or 6th I believe, I informed my wife that i'll be looking for a boat for next season. i'm gonna take out a small boat loan for somewhere around 5 or 6 grand and see if I cant find myself a little skiff in the 17 or 18 foot range. whaler. McKee. wahoo. maritime. etc.... something that will get me on the water and run all day on 8 gallons of gas. get me outside on a nice flat summer day. something I can beach without thinking twice. something I can launch and retrieve by myself without worry. ground it on a sandbar and fill a bucket with clams. hug the marshes at night for swimming blue crabs. I love the whaler Montauk or the 18 outrage.
i'll tell you guys when I have the funds so WE can begin the search.

I still have the package deal. 16 McKee/88 Johnrude, 1999 Chevy Suburban with barn doors(sorry its not green) $8000 for both. Just towed the McKee to NC last week and fished the Mckee all weekend

spare, all i'm missing is another giant truck. one is never enough. and i'm hoping to make this happen in the spring. as far as the McKee goes, my preference would be 17 or 18. I wont discount a 16, if the price is right but i'd like to stick with something that will get me 3 to 5 miles out on a nice calm day.

the 16 is a bit small for that

That boat you were in in C-Town wasn't a 16' was it? I thought it was a 13'/14' with a 60hp Merc 2-smoke..
