It's a shame I wasn't so po'. Before the first bid, the BuyItNow was only $7500. That seemed like a steal, especially with all controls, tanks, props, etc. included.

Edit - trying to fix link

if the bid does not get to high I would be willing to split the pair. If I can have the standard rotation one.

thanks

I've heard nothing but bad things about those early Ficht Injected motors. Lots of them blew up and were replaced by Bombardier/OMC.

hey chesapeake724 that's a good pair those are great motors, if he wants the standard that's great cause the counter one is worth alot more and if you ever have lower unit issues just replace it with a standard rotation and you're good to go. or fix the counter they are the same housing just the guts and prop. same motor otherwise.

here guy's that can't copy & paste

skools, why is the counter- rotating engine worth more,? and those have to be carbbed motors, arent they?

yeah they are carbed, the Counter unit's always cost more and hold their value better. the only difference is the lower unit and the model number.
Value's
Standard Rotation = $4,030
Counter Rotation = $4,670

The ad doesn't mention it, but I took it from the cowlings that they're Ficht DI's, not carbed. ???

...and I'm already watching that one in VA. Emailed the seller and got on the pre-approved bidders list. It's getting a lot of attention (bids) early, so I don't think it'll be a 'steal.'

Also watching that 'rude in CT. ;D

How can a high-pressure multi-port fuel-injected motor be carbed?... ???...

Chesapeake724

FYI, I purchased a 250 V8 from the seller of that 225 listed in Virginia just last year and have been very happy with it. It was his own personnel motor (he's a V8 nut) and it was well taken care of. I found him to be honest and very easy to work with. However most of his listings don't go off on the cheap side, but mine was well worth the cost.

Good to know, K, thanks!

Several of his postings have caught my eye in the past year or so.
