She has been wanting a hope chest to put memorabilia and whatever crap women put in them. I found the material from an upholstery shop here locally. The pics dont do it justice its a leather imitation. Trimmed in mahogany stained wood.

My wife and I stopped getting each other gifts for Christmas years ago, but she was born on Christmas so she gets birthday presents.

Sounds like me. Every year she asks me what I'm getting her, and I always tell her the same thing I got her last year. Just so happens that was nothing. This year I caved in and bought her a light so she can see to unlock the front door in the dark. Guess I screwed up, cost me $13 this year, I'm sure next year will cost me more.

I take a different approach. I love my wife. This is a woman that cooks for me, cleans the house, helped raise our kids, hardly ever complains, etc. SO I like to try to show my appreciation and affection towards her with lots of gifts on Christmas. Not all of them are hugely expensive, some are quite cheap in fact, but all are bought with the thought of "can she use this, would she like it" in mind. So this year she's getting a tablet, a flower, a robe, a new hair dryer, some jeans a toy and some blouses. All in all just north of $200. and I started shopping for her in July, so while that figure seems a little high, it's actually cheap when spread over 6 months. Hell, I waste more than that on beer and gunpowder over a year. So think about it guys... a little gift, (it doesn't have to be much) goes a long way towards keeping the wife happy. And as we all know, a happy wife equals a happy husband. And an unhappy wife...... well, we all have to sleep sometime. Merry Christmas everyone!!!
