I got mine on ebay...Just Google pool covers for rectangular shaped pools. Buy the cheapest one you could find.

I thought oval shaped was the ticket so it didnt have all that extra material to bunch up at the bottom?

Hi John. Look no further. Duckdive101 nailed it. That's the company I found a long time ago. I use the same size size and grade he ordered. They have 3 grades of covers, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Although their Silver (8 year) covers are ok, they seem a little flimsy. The same, to a lesser extent, for their Gold (12 year). I like the feel of the Platinum (15 year) covers... nice, thick, heavy... the way a cover should be.

General comments for all:

And for anyone going the pool cover route, remember that they (the covers) have an extra 4 foot of material sewn all the way around for the sides of a pool. Thus, a 12 x 24 pool cover will really be 20 x 32. Absolutely perfect to cover your boat, outboard engine and most of your trailer.

Build a backbone (discussed in length in other threads) (I like to use 1 1/4" conveyor pipe [like heavy wall EMT] and fittings) the length of your boat for the cover to drape over, thread the vinyl covered steel cable included with the pool cover thru the grommets, winch the cable tight and you're set for the winter. Just remember that like all projects, the prep will be the thing that decides how well your cover will stand up over time. Snow and ice are heavy, so brace your backbone accordingly. Make it high enough so that all snow will slide off and water (ice) will not pool, causing undue stress on the cover. Use pool noodles to cover the top edge of your windshield, and depending on their location, shorter pieces to cover your chocks or anything else that might become a stress point that will eventually puncture your cover.
