Is there any way to check to see if my vent hose is blocked because I have a 19 polar next to my well craft and when I fill it up when it's on the trailer raised up in the front the tank swells and pushes up on the access plate but I don't see it venting

Vent hose sould be next to fill hose on tank under a inspection hatch, disconnect hose from tank and try to blow thru it, maybe vent screen on side of hull clogged

find your vent, hold your hand up to the vent while someone pours fuel in, you should feel a breeze coming out of the vent. Does it spit back when fueling? if it takes fuel, your vent is working

the fuel tank is bulging from the weight of the fuel in it... if the vent were the cause it would simply vent itself through the fill tube......

That's what happens when the tank bulges I will open the gas cap and it would vent out of the fill hose but if it wasn't venting the engine should starve for fuel when I'm driving but it doesn't. That's what has me baffeled

Hmmm well then yeah it may indeed be a vent issue

maybe vent is on the rear of tank (not supposed to be) and when you run, its level and sloshing and liquid level is getting lower, but when bow up and static liquid is blocking gas from escaping.

X2 that phat says! my sea ox was on the rear of the tank for some stupid reason? and did just that. that boat held 110 gal, so i would just leave it a little low, and problem solved.

Thanks for all the come backs it will try to see if it's vented on the rear of the tank and if it's not I will try to see if it's blocked. ,,,,,,, it's always something. ,,,,,, party boat fishing ain't looking so bad. Lol. I will let you no how it turns out. Thanks

If your gas cap isn't making a positive seal then it (your tank) will vent thru the gas cap (at a slower rate than thru the vent hose, but it will still vent).
Depending on how much fuel is going into the engine it may or may not be enough to starve the engine at high speed but not at low speed.
Check the placement of the vent line like Phat and MJ said, and then if that's not the problem look for blockages in your vent line (like bugs and stuff)

Mine had a loop and a kink in it, made refueling too slow, took the loop out and shortened it to have pretty much a continuous upward slant and reconnected it. We'll see how it works next fuel up.

I will be checking the vent line to see if there is any restrictions. Thanks.
