so Monday night/Tuesday morning around 3am I get up to go to the can, what I thought was a stomach ache. by about 3:30am I know i'm in trouble. didn't want to wake the wife..... finally woke her up at 4:15am, couldn't take the pain. she drove me to the ER. kidney stones. HOLY SH!T!!! what pain never felt anything like it. gave me some perks and I was gone. doctor comes in around 8:30am and tells me I have another issue. my sugar is through the roof. yup, i'm also a diabetic. so I pissed out a few stones last night, feels like I still have some left.
ok, just wanted to get that out. guys, take care of yourselves. this aint no joke. gotta stay healthy. cant believe these little grains of sand could cause such incredible pain.

My wife passed a few small ones back when she was on birth control. Her body didn't take well to the hormones, and she developed them often. She said it was horrible pain, but I haven't had the misfortune of having them myself. And I know all to well about the health problems. I've got high blood pressure, and the only blood pressure meds that even remotely helped caused 10 other issues. So I've been battling my weight for the last year trying to deal with it naturally. Had lost 70 pounds, but fooled around and put 20 back on. SO I know your pain and the realization of finding out about health problems.

I also have high blood pressure. quit smoking back in November and ballooned up to 290. I don't like throwing pills at everything so i'm hoping I can lose the weight and solve some of my problems.

Well, I am here to tell you if you loose a bunch of weight and exercise you have a chance to control your diabetes. I went from 3 insulin shots a day to zero medicine necessary. BUT, I have nearly starved, literally.

Never had stones to pass thankfully.. Hang in there.

I'm with you Charlie, I'm at 235 and I need to be 185. My back tells me this every day, find us a beer diet, I can handle that

I let myself get up to 315 last year, got myself back down to 240, but went back up some. Scared to get back on a scale to see how much I put back on. I wish I could get back down to 210 or so.

I was at 215 when I started to have problems with my ticker. I'm now at 189 and my bp is better than it's been in a while. I still have a ways to go to hit my goal of 175, but I'm getting there.

And a word of warning to everyone... if you have high blood pressure DO NOT neglect it. That sh!t will kill you quickly. Took my healthy heart and put me into heart failure mode in less than 3 years. Uncontrolled hypertension (high blood pressure) is one of those "silent" killers.. you never think about it till you're in the hospital fighting for your life. Just something to think about.
