I've been trying to read what I can about this motor. It seems there is a problem with the V-6 Johnson's where an air pocket collects in the top right--we call that starboard on boats, cylinder and this one cylinder tends to over heat. I also read there is a TSB on this, but I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know of the fix for this problem?

The problem engines I thought were the 4 cylinders, but it could be the 6's. The bulletin involves placing some pieces of rubber hose around the cylinders to redirect the cooling water. I'll try and look later to see if I can find a copy of it. Pretty sure theres a copy on screamandfly
