Well I've been working near Houston Texas and this Sunday I'm gonna go deep sea fishing....
Never done it before... I know it's old hat to a lot of you guys but I am totally stoked!

are you going on a head boat? if so, try to get the spot on the rail by the wheelhouse door (usually right above the transducer) or one of the two corner spots at the stern(smoother ride, but smelly with a following sea).
good luck .

There are a lot of variations that can take place from having a striker per a certain amount of people to every man for him self and even everybody helps everybody else, this is all dependent on the charter you choose.
Do take pictures!

not sure what a head boat is... they call it a party boat.... from what I understand it's HUGE...... My friends have gone on this one before and said it was a great experience....
They supply gear and bait.... we're going 40-50 miles out and it's like $70/person..... 8 hour round trip
I'll make sure to get at least a few pics.....

head boat is the same as a party boat. the are called that because they charge by the head. you'll have a great time. wear your v 20 shirt, captain might let you drive.

At 90* it might be a bit warm for a sweat shirt but I wear my V20 hat every day.....
Really looking forward to it..... Honestly, while I'd love to come home with a full cooler I won't be disappointed if it just turns out to be a boat ride.

Two thumbs up for at least a pleasant boat ride, but something tells me there will be a lot more. Head boats are fun. Memories galore. Six pack of Coke and a bottle of Jack for two on a four hour tour on the Marathon Lady. Snapper, Sea Tally and a bunch of short Reds and Gags. Best $40 I ever spent..:thre:

From what I hear the gulf fishing is better than its been in years now.... Something about currents bringing in more blue water than usual vs the normal brown.

We've been instructed not to post pics of this spread and we lose our jobs if we do and they catch us.....
