Chesapeake Bay Striper Report

Went out of Sandy Point state park today with my buddy Pete. Started chumming for Rock at 7:00 A.M. had the two in the picture by 10 things started to get slow arond slack tide at 11:30. We were about 2 miles south of the Bay Bridge not too far from Annapolis. Aroun noon we were treated to the Blue Angels. They practiced for about 1 or 2 hours and then came back around 2:30 and did their full show. Not sure why they were there but it was a awsome show. At times they were right above us not more than 1000' or lower.
I got a few pictures of the Jets there not too good but here you go.

I was able to get a Video with my cell phone. The quality is not good but you can tell from the audio how close the jets were. *If anybody can tell me how to post it I will.

Hey Bobby,

Every year during the week before Memorial day the Blue Angels fly here. Tuesday is practice, Wednesday is the air show and Friday a fly over Navy / Marine Corp stadium. This all is part of the US Naval Academy graduation ceremony. Also I live about 3 miles from Sandy Point and my son is working there at the Marina. They are selling gas for $3.25 / gal , a pretty good price if you have to buy from a marina. They have alot of ramps (22) and lots of parking, but I bet you'll have trouble getting near the place this weekend.

It was flat calm until around 10 then the the wind started blowing at 1.6knts according to somebody on the radio complaining..must have had a sail boat. I do like going out of Sandy Point but I try to avoid it on Saturdays.
